Please join us on Aug. 2 at 5:30 p.m. at Vertigo Sky Lounge for the launch of The Excel Project, a nonprofit that introduces children and teens from underserved communities to the legal field. A foundation of Jackson Corporate Law Offices, P.C., the event commemorates the firm’s three-year anniversary.
The Excel Project, a Chicago 501(c)(3) public charity, seeks to provide students from underserved communities with access and exposure to the legal industry through paid summer internships; attorney-mentor connections; summer law school class attendance opportunities; and law school/LSAT Prep scholarship opportunities.
“We plan to work with local organizations to identify children and teens who have expressed interest in learning more about the legal industry so we can open up a world of opportunity through real-life experiences,” says Jamal E. Jackson, CEO and founder of Jackson Corporate and The Excel Project. “I want to help the next generation dream bigger and pursue their dreams to make a positive difference in their community.”
Early Bird tickets are available until July 27 at ExcelProject.org for $35 per person. General tickets will be available for $50 per person after July 27.
